Heartbreak for I’m A Celebrity star George Shelley as his sister has tragically died after being hit by a car over a week ago.
Harriet Shelley , 21, who is the former Union J star’s younger sibling, suffered severe head injuries following the accident in Bristol on Friday 28th April.

But after battling for her life in intensive care for a week, a friend confirmed to The Sun on Saturday evening that Harriet sadly passed away at Southmead hospital.

Her mother Toni Harris from Somerset, has said that nobody is to blame for the tragic incident, adding her daughter was ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time’.

Celebs now reported Toni from Somerset has also thanked the hospital staff who worked 24/7 to try an save her daughter telling The Sun :
‘Everybody at Southmead Hospital has been amazing, they have been working “24/7” to make sure she is alright.
‘I would like to thank everyone in Clevedon for praying for our daughter.
‘They have been holding church services, Bristol’s Buddha centre has also been helping – everybody across different religions have been so amazing.’

Although X Factor star, George, 23, is yet to speak about the heartbreaking death, tributes have poured in for the Shelley family with hundreds of fans taking to Twitter to send their condolences.
One follower wrote: ‘@ higeorgeshelley So sorry to hear about the sad news, love and prayers going out to you and your family’.
Another commented: ‘ So sorry for you @ higeorgeshelley on such tragic news. Harriet will always be proud of you and will forever be looking down.’
A a third added: ‘@ higeorgeshelley All my thoughts are with you and your family through this hard time. I’m so sorry for your loss George.’
